About this Venue
Our Ofsted registered Adventure camps in Summertown are hosted at Summer Fields School.
Summer Fields is one of our most impressive sites. With an astonishing 70 acres of outdoor space, Summer Fields provides our campers with a backdrop full of natural beauty and rife with adventure.
Most of the Active Adventure camp takes place in the site’s special woodland area which is even equipped with benches and huts. There are expansive outdoor field spaces which includes an adventure playground, equipped with a zip line. In the summer we are out on the river which is located very close by the activities will include Kayaking and Mini Raft building
This prestigious location is a wonderful place for children to explore and spend special moments with their new-found friends.
Activities
Our Active Adventure Camps (for 6-14 year olds) offer an immersive experience in the great outdoors, helping you discover and master survival and bushcraft skills. With a packed schedule of activities and mainly situated in the stunning woodland area of the site, children engage in sessions like mastering the techniques of fire starting and maintaining a campfire. They will learn skills such as the art of constructing a safe and secure shelter. Children will also enjoy Kayaking (summer only) quad biking and archery! They will also explore camouflage and concealment, honing their ability to blend into their surroundings. Students also often get the chance to make a special survival bracelet which they get to take away with them.
As we expand our Adventure program, we will be introducing some new activities including; ‘Bow drills’ (A primitive survivalists method of building fires) ‘Water Filtration’ (Learning how to clean water using basic household items) ‘Rope Stretchers’ (Can your team build a stretcher to rescue your injured team-mate just by using one length of rope?)

As well as learning new skills and having new experiences, our Active Adventure Camps are also about having fun and meeting new people. Our dedicated and friendly staff ensure that the camp is welcoming and teeming with adventure!
If indoor sports activities and arts and crafts are more your thing, then head over to our Active Camp page to find out more about our Active Camp running at the school this school holiday. Or for budding engineers, we also run Active Engineers at this venue.

My 12 year old daughter had a fantastic time at Active Adventure camps, both at Summerfields and Kingham. Activities were challenging and fun. She came home every day buzzing with chat about what they'd been doing and how much fun she'd had.

Our kids had a wonderful week at Active Adventure Camps. They were all smiles every afternoon when we picked them up (and exhausted). They loved the activities and even though it was super cold out they loved being outside. They staff are incredible, friendly and take wonderful care of the kids.
