After School Club Manager
Location: West Oxford Primary School, Ferry Hinksey Road, Oxford, OX2 0BY
Pay: £16.00-£17.50 per hour, inclusive of holiday pay
Days: Monday-Friday, school term time only
Hours: 17.5 hours per week, 3pm-6pm each day plus 30 minutes for planning and preparation

For over 20 years, we have been providing high quality term time wrap around childcare in schools for children from 4 to 11 years old, as well as holiday camps during school holidays for children aged 4-14.
Job Description
To take responsibility for managing the day to day running of the After School Club in order to provide a safe, welcoming and fun place for children to relax and play after school each day.
Key Duties
- Leading a team to devise and plan a range of activities that will engage and challenge children attending the club
- Overseeing the delivery of play opportunities in a safe and caring environment
- Ensuring all children’s needs are met and their learning and development requirements are considered when planning activities
- Ensuring the safe arrival of children from school classrooms and the safe delivery to parents/carers at the end of the day
- Ensuring children are kept safe and any risks in the play environment are minimised
- Organising the provision of snacks and refreshments for the children, including ordering food on a weekly basis within an agreed budget
- Leading a team of playworkers and liaising with Oxford Active Operations Manager about any staff issues, absences or other problems that may arise
- Conducting regular team meetings and staff performance reviews
- Being responsible for day to day administration and record keeping at the club to meet required Ofsted standards
- Being responsible for the safe-keeping of the club property and equipment
- Being the lead practitioner responsible for safeguarding all children attending the club
- Administering first aid as appropriate
- Understanding and working within all Oxford Active policies and procedures
- Carrying out all responsibilities and activities within an equal opportunities framework
