Visit Santa in Oxfordshire 2021

Christmas is a magical time for kids and meeting Father Christmas is a highlight of the year for little ones and there are lots of Christmas experiences, Santa Grottos and special events on all around Oxfordshire.

Prices and activities vary greatly so here are a few options of what’s on and where to visit Santa. The Festive Season is a great time to get creative with arts and crafts or in the kitchen…here are just some of the fun and festive things you can do at home with the children over the holidays.

Make some wildlife-friendly reindeer food!

On Christmas Eve night, as Father Christmas is rushing from house to house to deliver presents to all the good girls and boys, why not make your own wildlife-friendly reindeer food to feed his little helpers to keep them going on their busiest night of the year?!

Follow the instructions to make the wild-life friendly recipe and once made, grab a torch, go outside and find a spot in the garden (or your front door) and sprinkle your home-made reindeer food – kids will love to see the scattered food and get excited to think Father Christmas and his reindeer are on their way!

Make some Reindeer Rice Krispie Treats!

So this super yummy Reindeer Rice Krispie treat looks divine and they are so easy to make! Follow the link to the recipe, grab the children and enjoy making them together –  great for anytime of day or would look fabulous as part of the dessert for the table on Christmas Day!

Christmas is busy enough as it is, this one is really easy and should be a hit with kids and adults alike!

Santa Limbo game!

Tie a pillow to the player’s belly with the ribbon and play a traditional Limbo game,; only this time it’s a little more fun to juggle underneath the rope with the pillow/Santa belly. For the people that made it through, slightly lower the rope and have everyone go through again. Continually lower the stick until one winner remains!

Narnia Story Walk at The Story Museum

Come on a walk through the story of The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe with one of our friendly Story Guides.

Starting at the Oxford Castle, the perfect setting for a retelling of the dramatic events at the White Witch’s palace and for a game of Musical Statues, and other themed riddles, games and charades along the way!
