Our After School Clubs are based at primary schools in Oxford and Witney, and typically have 20-35 children aged 4-11 years attending each day. They are open Mondays to Fridays in school term time from 3.00pm to 5.30 or 6.00pm. You will usually be working with a team of two to four other play workers, running activities, supervising, playing with children and keeping them safe.
Duties will include
- Taking part in the delivery of creative and stimulating play activities in a fun and caring environment
- Keeping children safe and minimising risks in the play environment
- Helping ensure safe arrival of children at the club and the safe delivery to carers at end of day
- Providing snacks/refreshments to the children
- Administering first aid as appropriate
- Being responsible for tidying rooms at the end of the day
- Working within company policies and procedures, in particular being aware of our responsibilities around the Safeguarding of children in our care
- Some experience or working with children
- Enthusiasm, energy and a passion for working with children
- Good communication skills
- The ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
- Must be reliable with a strong sense of responsibility
- Willingness to undertake appropriate training
- Must have a recent enhanced DBS disclosure or be prepared to undergo a new one
- Posts available from one to five days a week at one or more after school clubs.

- Pay from £7.81 – £8.31 per hour, inclusive of holiday pay
- Hours 3.00pm to 5.30pm or 6.00pm, depending on the club
- Term time only, but can be combined with school holiday work at Oxford High Holiday Camp or Oxford Spires Language School
- You need to be at least 17 years old
- Training in safeguarding, first aid and specialist activities available
