Before you arrive – Summer Fields Adventure


Dear Summer Fields Adventure Parents/Carers,

We are excited to see you at camp this holiday so here are a few things to get you started. Hopefully, all of your queries will be answered below.

Pleas note this guidance is for our adventure programs for 6-14’s not our Active Camps for 3-14’s.

Please ensure you have completed your health and safety information for each child attending. This can be done by logging in to your account. Our camps WILL NOT be able to accept children without this information due to OFSTED requirements.

Getting to Active Adventure at Summer Fields School

Summer Fields School, Mayfield Rd, Oxford OX2 7EN

Please be mindful Mayfield rd. is one way, there are two entrances to the school, you will be able to access camp using the first gate on the right behind M&S.

Get directions

Please look for our branding once you are on-site and follow the signs where you will then see our staff.

What to bring:

  • Waterproof clothing (no matter the weather)
  • Warm jumper and trousers
  • Suitable footwear e.g. walking boots or well fitted wellington boots, please no open toed shoes such as crocs or flip flops.
  • Packed lunch
  • Water bottle
  • Swimwear, t-shirt and trainers that can get wet (these will be worn whilst kayaking or doing water activities).
  • Hat and gloves if cold
  • Personal medication
  • Suncream if applicable
  • Sun hat

Preferably all in one bag that the child can carry with them (all labelled please!)


If your child has their own personal medication, then you will have to complete an administration of medication form. This includes epi-pens and inhalers.

Sign In/Out

Sign-in will be available from  08:15 – 09:00 and sign out will be available from 17:00 – 18:00.

If you need to drop off or collect outside of these times please arrange this with your camp manager.

When waiting in the sign-in/out area, please switch off your engines to avoid unnecessary air pollution, thank you.

We will not require you to wear a face mask due to the queue being outside and socially distanced.

Each day we offer a varied program of engaging activities. Often, we will have an overall theme for the week, yet in consultation with

individual groups this adapt this towards what the children want. All activities are run in relation to their suitability in relation to the time of year and the environment.

No Nuts

We are a nut-free site which means we are unable to allow ANY nuts or food products containing nuts on-site. Please refrain from sending any such products in your children’s lunch or snack as they will be removed.

Please note, we are unable to provide any form of one-to-one support for individuals. If your child/ren requires one-to-one support or is deemed to require constant support by the on-site manager, you will be contacted to collect your child/ren.
