First Aid at Work Courses

Oxford Active offers a full HSE First Aid at Work certificate which will enable staff to be first aiders in the workplace.

The First Aid at Work course covers the practical skills needed by a first aider in the workplace, colleges and schools. It has been designed to give work first aiders the confidence to deal with emergency first aid situations.

The course is ideal for those who have been nominated as first aiders and also anyone wanting a full introduction into first aid.

This course will cover:

• First aid kits
• Accident and incident record keeping
• Treatment of an unconscious casualty
• Heart attacks
• Resuscitation
• Dealing with Shock
• Choking
• Bleeding
• Burns and scalds
• Poisoning
• Fractures
• Seizures
• Asthma
• Severe allergic reaction
• Eye injuries
• Low blood sugar
• Fainting.

The First Aid at Work course is run over 3 days and includes theory and practical sessions.
