What ages do you cater for?

For both After School Club and Holiday Camps, we can enrol children of school age  4-14 years or ages 3 -14 years in our camps run at Holme Grange School, Berkshire and Brigidine School Windsor.

When do you run After School Clubs and Holiday Activities?

After School Clubs run Monday to Friday (excluding school holidays) Holiday Playschemes run during all school holidays, Monday – Friday. We are not open on the Bank Holidays.

How often can we book?

After School Clubs are currently not available to book online please contact our office for further details. For the Holiday Activities, you can book as many days as you wish. Notice of booking is needed to ensure that we meet our staff ratios for all ages. The staff ratios are 1:8 for children under eight years of age. We also try to keep a 1:8 ratio for ALL AGES

Can we book half days?

Some After School Clubs operate half sessions – check each individual venue for details. For The Holiday Activities we allow half day bookings at Cherwell Camp. Half days run from 8:15am -1.15 pm and 1:00 – 6.00pm.

What are the opening times?

Most After School clubs run between 3pm and 5:30pm – check individual venues for details. Most Holidays Activities run between 8.15am and 6.00pm – check individual venues for details.

What activities do you have each day in the holidays?

Each day is divided into different sessions, so that children get a chance to participate and experience all different types of activities. Activities are in four main departments: Arts and Crafts, Dance, Drama, and Sports, which include Football, Hockey, Badminton, Tennis, Golf, Basketball Tag Rugby, and Netball all these activities run all day. There is also free time when children can play with toys, read books, watch TV and generally relax. We also organise a range of optional off site trips such as ice skating, ten pin bowling, swimming and horse riding at an additional cost.

How much do trips cost?

Trips are available at out Cherwell Camp only: costs of trips will vary from £3.00 to £18.00 depending on the activity. Check the trip page for details of trips organised in the next holidays.

Do you run specific sports coaching?

We run our After School Sports clubs during the school term between 3 and 4pm in a number of schools in Oxfordshire.

Do you provide food?

At after school clubs, we provide a light snack of bread, fruit a biscuit and a drink.

Lunch is not provided at our Holiday Camps so all children need a packed lunch and drink for lunchtime. We provide unlimited water  all day. In warm weather, please include an ice pack in the lunch box, or a small cool bag as we do not have refrigeration facilities at the Camps.

What do the children need to wear?

Appropriate clothing for both indoor and outdoor activities. Your child will need a swimming kit if you have booked swimming  as an offsite activity (camp only). During the summer months, a sun hat and sun cream is essential and old clothes for art. Sports clothing is not essential for sports activities, some protective clothing such as shin pads for football not essential but can prevent injury.

What equipment should stay at home?

Mobile phones are not needed on site, but if there is a need then please hand it in to the site Manager. You do not need to bring your own equipment for activities as we provide all the essential equipment. Any valuable items brought onto site are at the owner’s risk.

Can my child be with their friends / family members?

Yes, but you will need to tell us of your requirements when arriving at camp. If for some reason your child is not with his or her friends at any time they must let us know.

Are the children split into groups at Camp?

Yes, we have a 4 – 6year old room and a 7 & over room. If you have siblings and they don’t want to be split the older one can go into the younger room.
